Knowing and understanding your skin type will save you a lot of coins.
You don’t want to become a skincare junkie with products that don’t work, so why don’t you find your skin type, study it, and shop for it!
That being said, what is a skin type? Skin type refers to the hydration level of your face. Moisture and hydration are necessary in order to have good skin but our bodies don’t often work with us to get our skin as hydrated as possible.
By learning which skin type you have, you’ll be able to understand how you can best help your skin and get the most hydration while looking your absolute best!
Here’s what you need to do!
Cleanse – Use a gentle cleanser to wash your face for 30 – 60 seconds. Why? This will enable the ingredients in your skincare products actually improve the skin.
Wait an Hour – When you get out of the shower, wait an hour before applying anything to your face.
Stop and stare- Go to the mirror closest to you and closely examine your skin.
If you notice a shine on your forehead or nose you probably have oily skin. If your face feels tight and dry and maybe a little flaky, then you have dry skin but if some parts of your face are oily especially your t-zone while other parts are dry then you have combination skin.
