Hirsutism? Are you struggling to lose weight? Struggling to get pregnant? Suffer from chronic acne? Heavy menstrual cycles? Irregular periods or no periods at all? Obese? If you struggle with two or more of these symptoms, it is important to get checked for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, symptoms vary in every woman, some will possess all the symptoms, while some, like me will possess just one or two of the symptoms, ( I have excess androgen and heavy menstrual cycles), but fret NOT! PCOS is not a disease but a syndrome, PCOS has no cure BUT can be managed effectively with proper knowledge and support.
According to MayoClinic.org “The exact cause of PCOS is unknown. Early diagnosis and treatment along with weight loss may reduce the risk of long-term complications such as type 2 diabetes and heart disease”.

If you want more information on PCOS, tips on how I have managed it, leave a comment below! Here are some before and after images of my skin at its worst, the gradual improvement and what it looks like now.
